Earlier this year I’ve started a mix series in the Dzsungel Konyve radio show (which we run together with DJ Ren), where I’m focusing on the music I like from the 120-140 bpm range, or anything outside of drum&bass, that I normally play on the radio. I’ve started to label the songs I put into these sets as “mid-tempo dance music”, because it’s frustrating to look for a certain genre for each track and I’m honestly tired of the term “bass music”. This mix was played live at the end of June on Tilos Radio (the last set before moving to the new studio!), and it’s already the 5th so-called episode of the series.
